There are over 5,800 stocks (like Apple, Oatly, or Disney) and over 2,800 ETFs (like S&P500) in our app. We’ll soon add crypto and later possibly NFTs. If there are any other products you’d like us to include, say [email protected] and we’ll do our best to add these.
Any citizen of Czech Republic or Slovakia who is over 18 can create an account. Just download the app in the App Store or Google Play store, go through a quick onboarding process, click through our in-app academy, deposit some money (starting at 1 EUR), get your first stock for free, and have fun!
It only takes a few minutes. Send money to your Birdwingo account via a bank transfer (you can find your details in the Profile section). In most cases, you can start trading instantly. In the future, you will also be able to top up using a credit/debit card. We’re working on it!
We only charge a 0.49% trade fee from your total invested amount, until it reaches $1 value. From that point it’s kept on $1, no matter the value invested. This covers third-party fees. The app is free, there are no withdrawal fees, no trade execution fees, no management fees, no custody fees, no deposit fees, no FX markups, no spreads, no inactivity fees or any other fees we might have forgotten to mention.
At the moment, we accept EUR and CZK. Gradually, we will start accepting all European currencies and US dollars. Unlike others, we use the interbank exchange rate (the same Revolut uses) and do not charge any currency exchange fees. Interbank exchange rate is the rate that banks use to trade currencies among each other – that is exactly what you are getting as well.

Insurance for your money. Your money is legally insured up to $500 000 per user under the Securities Investor Protection Corporation scheme. This means that if something happens to Birdwingo or our partners, you have a money-back guarantee. In addition to this, your money is insured up to €50,000 per user under the standard European Investor Compensation Scheme. Cherry on top, Birdwingo is also commercially insured against incidents.
Regulatory oversight. Operations are fully backed by our partner Wealth Effect Management, which is a fully registered stock broker regulated by the National Bank of Slovakia with the ability to offer services in other EU member states. Trading takes place through Alpaca Securities, regulated by the US regulator FINRA. It manages large amounts of transactions worldwide every day.
